Most Dermal fillers are composed of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring component of the epidermis that contributes to skin structure, tone and hydration. Depending on the type of filler recommended by your cosmetic physician, the effects can last anywhere from six months to two years. Semi-permanent or permanent fillers may last up to five years, and in some instances, even longer.
Results are instantaneous. While some swelling or redness is to be expected, and occasional bruising may occur, the line smoothing and plumping effects of soft tissue fillers are immediately visible. Over the course of the first week, you will see the full effects of the treatment.
