What is O-Shot?
O-Shot is a new medical technique, in which Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected into your clitoris and upper vaginal wall, to stimulate these tissues, and increase blood flow and muscle strength to treat conditions like dyspareunia (painful sex) and urinary incontinence.
What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?
PRP is basically obtained by withdrawing blood from your own body, then putting it into a centrifuge to separate that part of the blood which is rich in platelets, and then this platelet rich plasma is injected back into your body.
Many important healing elements called growth factors are present in platelets, and by injecting it into your clit and upper vaginal wall, a rejuvenating process is stimulated which remodels the deteriorating vaginal tissues and other soft tissues in the surrounding area and thus increases sexual desire and satisfaction. Moreover, this treatment also strengthens the urethral sphincter muscle, so women who suffer from problems related to urinary incontinence can also benefit from this procedure.

Before starting the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to the clitoris and upper vaginal wall, so that all the patients feel minimum to no pain at all.
There have been no reported side effects of this procedure; however, you may suffer from a little redness and bruising at the injection site, which will subside within a few days.
Most of the women see results within 3-7 days, in the form of increased sexual desire and pleasure. In fact, you can even start having sex on the same day. However, the improvement in sexual function and urinary incontinence peak at 3 months and last at least a year, after that majority of the women will need the second session of this procedure done.
